University & College Pathways

After completion of the University Pathway Program students can enter several American universities. Students do not need the TOEFL or IELTS exams.

Conditional Admission

Students who have completed our University Pathway Program will meet the English language proficiency requirements; however, students must apply separately with all supporting academic documents for entry into our partnered universities. Spokane College of English Language staff will assist with this process. Some of our pathway partners accept students at lower levels–please ask one of our experts for details.

English Level and Graduation Requirements

To be accepted into the next level, students must pass the previous level with 80% class grade and attendance, and 60% on the Level Up Exam.

Students can graduate from ENGL130 or ENGL140 / ENGL145. Graduation requires 12 weeks of study in the graduating level. To graduate, students must pass their level with 80% class grade and attendance, and 60% on the Final Exam.

Students who graduate from ENGL130 can attend our Community College Pathway Partner schools. Students who graduate from ENGL140 can attend our University Pathway Partner schools, except Eastern Washington University, which requires graduation from ENGL145, a continuation of ENGL140.
